Hi I have just finished converting a John Deere 8360RT, It looks great it will drive forward and reverse and the lights all work. I am using a Aduino uno with one joystick to control it. I fitted two flip N20, 30 RPM motors but they just do not have the torque to turn the tractor and it will stop at a small bump The battery is fully charged. Any ideas of the problem. I have two more motors on order to try them.

Hi Did you write the code for the Arduino Pro mini in the roof of the cab of the JD 8360RT. In part six you said that you still had to write it. Thanks for all you help.

Hi Me again all sorted so far thanks again for your help and patience. I have been watching 8360 RT Part 6 – Installing the radio module, Arduino and LEDs in the cab.you said that you still had to do the code for the Arduino mini pro in the cab to work the LEDs. Is it somewhere or have you not done it yet. Managed to get the LEDs working thanks to a breadboard the transistor had me going, the difference between the NPN and the PNP!!.

Hi Thanks again for your help, I found the two libraries SendOnlySoftwareSerial.cpp & h that I need in Githup but the download button is no longer there! I have tried many different ways but with no luck I have been at his most of the afternoon. I enjoy making all the parts fit on the tractors. I am useless at electronic. So once again can you guide me in the right direction Thank you in anticipation.

Hi Thank you for the RF24.h code down loaded that okay, but no I am having problem down loading the code for the 5volt Arduino Mini Pro in the cab. The following keeps telling me 🙁 fatal error: SendOnlySoftwareSerial.h: No such file or directory #include <SendOnlySoftwareSerial.h> // Include the library for creating additional serial ports I have tried everything sorry to be such a pain.

Hi Thank you for you help could you answer one no two question for me I have looked to see how a second joystick could be wired in if you are using a joystick shield with one already attached and would this affect the codes. Thank you for pointing out the Schematic drawings they are very easy to follow. I see you are using a 5volts Arduino in the body!! One other thing I want to use the 3.7volts LiPo battery to drive the tractor and not have back up from a trailer. I think I will have to constructed a way to change the battery my often. Just waiting for the rest of my parts to come through. I have the Tractor, and I will braze a small plate onto the end of the axle cut it in half first and fix this to the outside of the rear wheels because there is a nice large cover that covers that part. Thanks again it is great that there is someone to ask.

Is it posable to wire in another joystick onto the right of this RC controller using a PCB board. But i expect this would mean changing the codes. If this is not posable can you control the tracks on the 8360RT build from the one joystick, forward/reverse left/right.
